I don't mean give up, but just try to maintain or lose a little. Stress can cause your body to hold on to fat so you could just frustrate yourself rather than enjoying a very special time in your life.

By all means keep trying to lose but don't sweat how much and by when. Then after the wedding you can get all hard core. :)

I stuck in the 180s for 4 months, around the time my Dad got cancer, then I lost to 145 and I've been stuck around the high 140s for 2 years since getting sick. Life stuff takes it's toll and it's hard but we just have to roll with it.Zhaanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02305176761245310977noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13956774.post-1154441990410251492006-08-01T08:19:00.000-06:002006-08-01T08:19:00.000-06:00You can do it! I'm not even sure what it is that I'm afraid of but there are times when I'm as intimidated of reaching my goal as I am of not reaching it.
It doesn't make sense but like you said, it's not easy to figure out because the issue itself is so complicated. :)Lynnehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15273710995149341437noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13956774.post-1154008202277975982006-07-27T07:50:00.000-06:002006-07-27T07:50:00.000-06:00Good heavens...I feel like I could have written th...Good heavens...I feel like I could have written this post myself! I've been stuck in the 170s for months now, and I would LOVE to see 160 for my wedding, which is just 12 weeks a way. Of course, I fell off the wagon and stayed off for a week and a half, gaining nearly 10(!) pounds back, so I'm now dancing around the low 180s. My plan is to kick it into high gear and do my best to stay there for the next 12 weeks. Even if I'm just 169 on my wedding day it'd be so awesome to see the 160s. Like you, when I started putting the pressure on myself (trying to get to 160 or 150s for 10/22) I started freaking out and thus began the latest binge. I'm hoping that by taking the pressure off of myself I can keep it going until the big day -- and beyond. (I was 176 when I was sized for my dress, so that's the only number I *have* to be for the wedding...anything less than that would be great and to be in the 160s would be amazing.) Anyway, just wanted you to know that you're not the only one going through the things you wrote about and best of luck too you! Remember...challenge yourself, but don't be hard on yourself! :-)Jen C.https://www.blogger.com/profile/13132317156578529143noreply@blogger.com
